ILL Information

ILL Coordinator

Professor Stacy Fowler is our interlibrary loan coordinator. You may reach her at (210) 431–8073 or email her at sfowler@stmarytx.edu.

ILL Basics

The law library offers interlibrary loan services for items not available through either the Law Library or the Blume Library. Please check the online catalog before submitting a request. Also, many journal articles are freely available online, and older materials can often be found in the HathiTrust Digital Library.

Requesting Materials

Please include as much information as possible about the resource you want (is it a book or an article, title, author, publication date, volume number, page numbers, edition, publisher). Turnaround time is approximately ten working days for most items; rare items may take longer. Journal students should also include the specific page numbers needed for citation checks when applicable. Please be aware that while we will make every attempt to fil your request, some items are not available through ILL.

Lending: ILL for Other Libraries

The law library provides loans and photocopies of library materials to outside institutions, subject to some restrictions. ILL requests from other institutions must be complete and accurate at the time of the request. Please note that we do not lend DVDs or course reserve materials. The borrowing period for loaned ILL items is one month. The law library accepts ILL requests by e-mail, OCLC (SNL), or in person.
