Electronic Access for Course Books

The major legal publishers are all dedicated to keeping students as productive as possible. For electronic access to the majority of your required course books, please access each publisher's books as noted below.

Carolina Academic Press:

Carolina Academic Press has partnered with VitalSource to provide free digital access to their materials, available to students through May 25.

VitalSource Helps Access Instructions:

  1. To get started, visit bookshelf.vitalsource.com and log-in or create a Bookshelf account with your institution-provided email address.

LexisNexis:

Required course books from LexisNexis are now available through the Law Library’s Lexis Digital Library. To access the digital library, click HERE and follow the prompts to sign-in.  You can also click on the below links to directly access specific collections of Casebooks and Study Aids.

LexisNexis has also added additional Study Aids and Casebooks to the Law Library’s Digital Library, with some links listed above.  For easy reading offline, be sure to download the LexisNexis Digital Library app from either the Google Play™ store or Apple® Store. Use library code: SKELL

 

West Academic:

For West Academic and Foundation Press course books, complimentary eBooks are now available to students.

  • Please call 877.888.1330 (ext.4) to setup eBooks
  • You must set up a West Academic account before calling; this can be done at: https://eproducts.westacademic.com/
  • This offer is valid for required materials and for students who don’t have access to a print textbook.

There are also many online study aids available at the above link.  The audio lectures and practice exam questions can be especially helpful right now.

 

Wolters Kluwer:

Wolters Kluwer has partnered with VitalSource to provide free digital access to their casebooks and other materials, available to students through May 25.

VitalSource Helps Access Instructions:

  • To get started, visit bookshelf.vitalsource.com and log-in or create a Bookshelf account with your institution-provided email address. 
  • Here are instructions on creating a Bookshelf account .
  • Once you create an account with an institution-provided email address, log in and click on the “Explore” tab in the upper left corner of the screen. This tab provides access to the freely available e-textbooks.
